Google Form Answers

 Hi!!! I'm Summer DeWitt and I'm here to talk about the extent that film influences public opinions and action in society.

In my last blog I mentioned I would be sending out a Google form to see how my peers have been affected by films in their life. I got many good answers that I can't wait to discuss!

To start, I gave people a list of films, then I allowed people to discuss films that they wanted to discuss. An anonymous answer said that after watching Harry Potter they felt inspired by Harry Potter's intelligence and went on to work hard to be intelligent like Harry Potter, and even though they may have watched the movies at a young age, this inspiration led them to work hard and create valuable habits to stay on track in school.

Another person said they felt impacted by the Disney movie Frozen because it allowed them to realize the importance of family. This person said the movie showed them how you shouldn't shut out the people who love you and care for you because in the end they only want what's best for you. 

Many people also mentioned how much they enjoyed all of the Marvel series as well. Many said it led them to being more action filled and want to fight for what they believe is right. Others said they loved the artistry of La La Land and one person even explained how this film is what made them want to be a film maker as their career in life.

Then I began looking at the movies people picked on their own. I will go through, name the movie, and how it impacted the person.

Good Will Hunting: Taught the person how they should act in a friendship and how they should always live life to the fullest

Phineas and Ferb: The characters constantly creating made this person feel more creative and want to make projects more as they grew up 

Inside out 2: Two people said this movie actually, someone said they learned that not everything will always go our way in life and we must learn how to work through that. The other person said that they realized how mental state can affect our actions to other people, so this person realized in order to not lose friends they must change their behavior and find confidence in their self so they don't lose people in their life they care about. 

Sinners: This person said that the movie made them realize they have to fight for what is right even if others say its wrong. They realized they can't just stay quiet, they must speak out and let their voice be heard.
